Who controls your data

The data controller is Liam O'Connor, 14 Grafton Street, Dublin 2, D02 S221, Ireland, contactable at [email protected]. The site is run by an individual, not a company, and there is no data protection officer — enquiries are answered personally.

What we collect

Reading the site requires no account and leaves us with nothing that identifies you. Data reaches us only if you use the contact form, in which case we process your name, email address, optionally a phone number, and the text of your message. Separately, the hosting provider keeps a standard server log containing IP address, request time and browser type.

Why, and on what legal basis

Form submissions are used solely to reply to you. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in handling correspondence, under Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR. Server logs are processed on the same basis, for security and reliability.

Who receives the data

Submitted forms are passed to Telegram Bot API, which delivers the message to us inside the Telegram app. That service is operated by Telegram Messenger and processing may take place outside the European Economic Area. The hosting provider has technical access to the server. Nobody else receives your data; it is never sold, and it is never used for advertising or profiling.

How long we keep it

Correspondence is deleted once the matter is closed, and in any case no later than twelve months afterwards. Server logs are rotated automatically by the hosting provider within a few weeks.

Your rights

You have the right to access your data, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict or object to processing, and to data portability. Write to the address above and we will respond within one month. If you are unhappy with the outcome, you may complain to the Data Protection Commission, 21 Fitzwilliam Square South, Dublin 2, D02 RD28.

Age of readers

This site is written for adults. We do not knowingly process data relating to anyone under 16, and will delete such data promptly if it is brought to our attention.
